That list includes the Redmi 7, Redmi Y3, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6. It was reported that these phones will get the MIUI 12 update in the second phase. But for now, it is not happening.
In a blog post, Xiaomi reports that the MIUI 12 update is not being released due to ‘compatibility and performance issues’ of all the four smartphones. According to a report from Fonearena, Xiaomi was the first to report the news to Telegram Group.
List of Mobile not getting updates
However, these are not the four phones. Also, MIUI 12 is not getting updates Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Poco F1 and Mi 10. With the exception of Redmi, Mi and Poco, almost all phones have the latest MIUI 12 update. Xiaomi launched MIUI 12 in May this year. It was launched in India in August.
However, phones that do not receive the MIUI 12 update are not very old. The Redmi 7 was launched in March 2019 and the Redmi Y3 was launched the very next month. Among them Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 are a little older. Both these phones were launched in June 2018.
In terms of updates, Redmi 7 and Redmi Y3 only got MIUI 11 updates. Because these two phones were launched with MIUI 10. On the other hand, again Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A launched two smartphones with MIUI 9 and later two phones got MIUI 11 update.
Earlier, the company had given new updates for many phones. And it had a bunch of Xiaomi smartphones in it, which got new updates despite being quite old. These four phones are not very old in that place. And many customers are angry that they are not getting updates.
