Meghbela Broadband has come up with a plan to reach cheap internet in every house in Bengal

Not just Telecom, Reliance Jio and Airtel are not allowing competitors to stay in the market even on broadband. Company is going to offer voice, video, data and a bunch of OTT apps at very low prices to stop the well-known broadband providers like Jio Fiber, Airtel Home and Tata Sky in West Bengal. This broadband provider is going to provide OTT service in West Bengal through FTTH or Fiber-To-The-Home.

Tapbrat Mukherjee, co-founder and director of Meghbela Broadband, told ET Telecom: We have also recently partnered with popular OTT players in Bengal such as Hoichoi, Addatimes and Bongo TV.

      Meghbela Broadband Android Box

Meghbela Broadband has around 150,000 user bases across the country. Within a year of its launch, the company has become 50,000 Android Box users. In all, Meghbela Broadband currently has 200,000 subscribers. This time, one of the most popular internet service providers in the state is entering the sugarcane field outside Bengal.

In the words of Tapbrata Mukherjee, “At the moment, we do not have much competition with the kind of internet services that the leading telcos provide to the people.” Because the way we serve is different. Meghbela Broadband makes the experience of using broadband service pleasant even for the end customers. He further added, “We provide internet service for much less money than the competitors in the market.” Meghbela Broadband brings high speed internet to the people of Bengal and India for less than Rs.500.

      Meghbela Unlimited Or Limited?

‘We don’t have a fixed usage policy. We offer unlimited data to the customer. Bigger than that is that we are going to start our service completely without advertising ‘, says Tapbrat. He also said that for the time being, Meghbela Broadband is keeping an eye on the central government’s PM-WANI (Prime Minister WiFi Access Network Interface) scheme. Because this scheme will set up a public Wi-Fi hotspot. And that will require a lot of local ISP (Internet Service Provider) like Meghbela.

      Meghbela Broadband WIFi

Meghbela Broadband uses 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz spectrum band without license for cheap Wi-Fi network voice, video and data in remote villages of India. Meghbela recently teamed up with Google to launch Android Box. Essential for this Android Box is Google Assistant and with-it customers can watch OTT content and 150 live TV channels by converting from basic Television to Smart TV.

In the next few days, the company is also going to launch the Meghbela app, with the help of which users will be able to watch the streaming of various content from their smartphones. With the Meghbela app, customers will no longer need Android Box. Meghbela currently provides services in 16 states in India. It has 10,000 kilometres of over-head fiber network and 2,000 kilometres of underground optic fiber-cable of Meghbela Broadband. At the same time, this leading internet service provider in Bengal also provides internet service to 2000 corporate clients and call centres.
