WhatsApp has come up with a new feature. The popular messaging company has already started sending updates of that new feature to Android Beta subscribers. Even though WhatsApp chats have been encrypted for so long , there was no protection for chat backups. So, a lot of the time private chat would go public. This time the US messaging company also brought encryption in the chat back up. This feature has been added to the latest beta version. Until now, WhatsApp chat backups were saved on Google Drive from Android phones.

How will this encryption work? From now on all chatbacks will be protected by password. Only with this password can chat be restored from backup. However, the problem is that once this password is forgotten, the backup cannot be restored in any way.
A report published on the WABetaInfo website states, ‘This password is absolutely private. This password will not be shared even with WhatsApp, Facebook, Google, Apple. This password can be restored with a 64-digit encryption key. But if you forget this password, there is no way to access this backup.
Also, WhatsApp has recently come up with a new feature called HD Photos. Quality can be selected while sending any image in this feature. Android customers will see a total of three options when sharing photos from WhatsApp. This feature is currently in beta.

Best quality first. In other words, the messaging app will send that picture in the best quality. This option compresses the image but the quality will not be too low. Large images of 2048 x 2048 pixels will have 80 percent compression in this option. WhatsApp used to do 70 percent compression before.
According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform can further reduce compression for better image sharing. The other two options are Auto and Data Saver. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
