Sony’s Vaio was one of the most popular laptop bands in India almost a decade ago. Among the premium models in the market at that time, the acceptance of Vivo laptops was on the rise. But over time, VAIO’s popularity continued to decline. In 2014, Vaio emerged as a separate entity out of Sony’s control. After so many years, the Japanese company returned to India. However, this time around, the company has teamed up with Hong Kong-based Nexstgo, which also sells Avita-branded laptops in India, to bring Vaio-branded laptops to the Indian market. More laptops, including low-budget models, will be brought to India, VAIO said.
Vaio has started its second innings in India today with the launch of laptops of E15 and SE 14 modules. Both laptops have full-HD IPS displays and Microsoft Office 365 bundles. The Vaio E15 model laptop has AMD Raisin processor and the premium category laptop has an Intel processor in the Vaio SE14. Let’s find out more about laptops.
Price and availability of Vaio E15 and Vaio SE 14
Vaio E15 laptops come in Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processor configurations. According to the Flipkart listing, the Ryzen 5 model of the Vaio E15 is priced at Rs 66,900 and the Ryzen 7 model is priced at Rs 76,090. However, with a 25 per cent discount, it can be bought at Rs 49,900 and Rs 56,990 respectively. Vivo’s E15 models of laptops will be available in Black and Tin Silver colour options.
On the other hand, the Vaio SE14 laptop has a single configuration of Intel i5 eighth generation processor. The premium laptop is priced at Rs 84,690. However, it can also be bought at Rs 62,990 with a 25 per cent discount. This laptop will be available in Dark Gray and Red Cooper colours.
Sales of Vaio laptops will start on Flipkart. If anyone pre-orders on Flipkart right now, they will get an additional Rs 3,000 discount on laptops. This offer can be availed till 24th January.
Specification of Vaio E15
This laptop will get a 15.6-inch Full-HD Plus IPS display with a narrow bezel. It will run on Windows Ten Home operating system. You will get Radeon Vega 8 graphics in its Ryzen 5 mobile processor variant and the Ryzen 7 model has Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics. Which is a bit appropriate for light and medium gaming. This laptop has 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD storage. It is claimed that this laptop weighing 1.6 kg can be used for up to 6 hours on a full charge. Vivo E15 has Webcam, dual stereo speakers, backlit keyboard.
Specification of Vaio SE 14
This Vivo laptop has a 14-inch full-HD LED backlit IPS display. It comes with an eighth generation Intel Core i5 processor with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz and a turbo boost of 3.9 GHz. It has 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD storage, and Intel UHD 620 graphics integrated. The laptop has a full-HD webcam and four speakers. The laptop can be used for up to 13 hours on a single charge. It will support quick charging (the battery will be fully charged within an hour). Weighing just 1.3 kg, the Vaio SE14 features a fingerprint sensor and Windows Hello support for biometric authentication.
