Over the past few years, smartphone companies have been bringing new designs to the smartphone market. Brands like Samsung, Huawei, Motorola have come up with folding phones instead of simple design phones. But not only the design, the features have been improved from the hardware of the phone. Different brands have used pop-up camera mechanisms instead of ordinary selfie cameras on their smartphones. But this mechanism has not yet been seen in any of Samsung’s phones. However, according to a recent report, Samsung is now working on a foldable smartphone that will have a pop-up camera feature.
It is learned that this popular smartphone maker from South Korea has already filed a patent for a new phone at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office). Sources claim, however, that Samsung has submitted a design patent for three foldable smartphones with this type of camera mechanism.
The smartphones of those three designs have a cut out on the front display so that the foldable phone can be used with the missing camera even when folded or closed. According to all Samsung news blogs, SamMobile, one of the two parts of the new foldable device may have a pop-up camera missing.
Although some reports also say that the foldable half of the new foldable device will have the pop-up camera module. In the meantime, some sketches related to this new device have been published, which look like the pop-up camera will replace the main rear facing camera system. However, if Samsung brings this folding phone, it will be the world’s first foldable phone with a pop-up front camera.
