The wait ended and the flagship series Samsung Galaxy S21 was launched. The South Korean smartphone-maker launched three smartphones in the series, along with the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, at an event called Galaxy Unpacked 2021 on Thursday, January 14th. Samsung’s flagship series has three models: Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21 + and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Display –
Samsung Galaxy S21 model has a 6.2-inch Full HD + Infinity-O display. The Galaxy S21 +, on the other hand, has a slightly larger 6.7-inch display. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a 6.8-inch WQHD + Dynamic AMOLED 2x curved display. Like the other two models, the display of this ultra-smartphone also has 120Hz adaptive refresh rate support. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus is on display of these three new Galaxy handsets from Samsung.
Back Camera –
Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + phones have a triple-camera setup. These two smartphones have a 12MP f / 1.8 primary lens, a 12MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide lens and a 64MP f / 2.0 telephoto camera. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone has a quad-camera setup. Its primary lens is 108MP f / 1.8. It also has a 12MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 10MP f / 2.4, 3x optical telephoto lens and a 10MP f / 4.9, 10x optical super telephoto lens. This Galaxy Ultra model also has laser autofocus and LED flash.
Front Camera –
The Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + smartphones have a 10MP f / 2.2 front camera for selfies. The Galaxy S21 Ultra, on the other hand, has a 40MP f / 2.2 front camera with a hole-punch display.
Processor –
Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and Exynos 2100 are offered as processors in three smartphones of Samsung Galaxy S21 series. These two chipsets will depend on different regions based on the three Galaxy models. However, the Indian variants of the Galaxy S21 Series have the Exynos 2100 processor. Among them, Galaxy S21 Ultra model has been given S Pen support. However, unlike the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone, the S21 Ultra does not have a dedicated slot for the S Pen.
Battery –
Samsung Galaxy S21 phone has a 4,000mAh battery and Galaxy S21 + model has a 4,800mAh battery. The top-end Galaxy S21 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery. All three smartphones will support 25W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging and wireless power sharing. The company is not giving chargers in the box of any model of Samsung Galaxy S21 series walking on the road of Apple and Mi.
Colours and more features –
While the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S21 + models have a glass back, the standard Galaxy S21 smartphone has a glass rear panel, just like the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE handset. In terms of colour options, the Samsung Galaxy S21 has Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom White and Phantom Pink. The Galaxy S21 + is offered in Phantom Silver, Phantom Black and Phantom Violet. The Galaxy S21 Ultra comes in just two colours, Phantom Silver and Phantom Black.
Prices in India –
The Samsung Galaxy S21 model is priced at Rs 69,999. This is the price of the 8GB + 128GB version of the phone. The 8GB + 256GB model of the phone is priced at Rs 73,999 in India. The Samsung Galaxy S21 + starts at Rs 81,999 in India for 8GB + 128GB variants. The 8GB + 256GB model of the phone is priced at Rs 85,999 in India. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,05,999 in India. This is the price of the 12GB + 256GB storage model of the phone. On the other hand, the 12GB + 512GB Galaxy S21 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,16,999.
