It’s official! The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S21 series is launching on January 14th. Samsung has come up with a new tagline, ‘Welcome to the Everyday Epic’, inviting Unpacker to this new Galaxy model. The virtual launching event will be held on January 14 at 8:30 pm Indian time.
Samsung’s latest flagship series will be the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The Galaxy S21 series phones will amaze the entire design of the camera and phone starting from the performance. A few days ago, all the features and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S21 were leaked.
The company is going to give S Pen in this flagship series phone among the latest features. The S Pen was introduced in Samsung’s Note series phones and it is for this special feature that Samsung’s Note series phones have become iconic.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 has a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display. Meanwhile, the Plus model of this series is being given a 6.7 inch display. Both models have HD + panels on the display, which support 120Hz refresh rate. This screen has HDR 10+ and 1300 nits brightness. Also on display is Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass Victus protection and an under screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Earlier, it was reported that the flagship series will feature Samsung’s new Exynos processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. In terms of software, the Galaxy S21 series of phones will have Android 11-based One UI 3.1.
The Galaxy S21 smartphone has a 4,000mAh battery and the Galaxy S21 + model is offered with a 4,800mAh battery. Sources further claim that both the phones will support 25W fast charging. The series will also feature Qi wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support.
In terms of photography, both the Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + have 10MP front-facing cameras. The sensor has an aperture of f / 2.2 and can record 4K videos at 60fps. Both the phones have three sensors in the back camera. They have a 12MP wide angle sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 64MP telephoto sensor. This rear camera is capable of recording 8K video at a rate of 30fps.
The premium segment of this Galaxy series is the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. There has been a lot of fuss about this ultra model for the past few days. It has two 10MP cameras in addition to the 108MP primary camera. These two cameras will come in handy for additional zooming. This phone also has another 12MP ultra wide angle sensor. Other features of the camera include PDAF, Laser AF and LED flash. The front of the phone has a nice 40MP sensor for selfies.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra model has the company’s latest Exynos processor. The operating system of this phone is Android 11 based OneUI 3.1 OS. As a display, this phone has a 6.8-inch WQHD + display with a pixel density of 515 PPI.
