The clubhouse has started sending updates for Android and iOS customers. The Direct Message feature has been added to this update. This feature called Backchannel allows direct messaging to any person in the social audio app. Also, there is an option to group messages.
Clubhouse customers can use the Backchannel feature to talk in-room. You can communicate with the co-host while talking through this chat feature. You can also use this messaging feature to decide who to call from the audience.
Also, if you are in the audience, you can start chatting with any of your friends via SMS. You can access the chat thread by tapping on the airplane icon or swiping to the left.
The social audio app Clubhouse was launched in April 2020 for iOS customers only. This app became hugely popular after its launch. The clubhouse has also appeared on Android devices this year. The company claims that 8 million new subscribers have started using the social platform since the launch of Clubhouse on Android devices in May this year. Clubhouse reached its peak of popularity during the Corona Superior. And then companies like Facebook, Twitter, Spotify started creating similar audio chat social platforms.
Spotify recently launched a new Greenroom app in competition with Clubhouse. The live audio format will be emphasized in this app. This year, Locker Room’s creator bought Betty Labs. Later, Greenroom was launched by pouring that app.
