Recently some apps have suddenly started crashing on Android phones. If you are also facing this problem, then let me know that you are not alone, many Android customers in the world are currently facing this problem. Apps or services owned by Google, such as Gmail and Google Play, are suddenly shutting down. Internet search giant Google has already acknowledged the problem, and is working to find a solution.
It is known that this problem is being caused by a system component called Android System WebView. It helps to display web-content to any Android app. However, Google estimates that users are having problems due to a new bug in the system.
Samsung has posted on Twitter a way to solve this problem for its users. But smartphone users of other companies can also try it. Samsung said that the problem is mainly due to WebView updates. So removing it and restarting the phone will solve this problem.
To do this, follow the steps below:
First go to Phone Settings> then Apps> Tap on the three dots in the top right corner> Select Show System App> Search for Android System WebView> Select Uninstall Updates.
According to a report in The Verge, Google said, “We’ve already received multiple complaints about some Android apps crashing as a result of the Android System WebView, and work is underway to find a lasting solution to the problem.” Bug repairs are also underway, the agency said.
