Google announced the launch of the I / O 2021 event, a shortcut to deleting the last 15 minutes of browsing history for Android and iOS devices. Earlier there was an option to search history auto delete, now a new feature has been added on top of that option. This new feature will delete all searches of the last 15 minutes via a shortcut. For now, iOS customers have got this feature.
‘How search history will be saved in your account will be easier to control from now on. If you want, you can do a Google search without saving anything to your account. Google will automatically delete your search history with Auto Delete Control. At the same time, web and app activity will be deleted every 3, 18 or 36 months. If you open a new Google Account, all web and app activity will be deleted every 18 months. However, customers can change it from the settings if they want ‘, Google wrote in a blog post.
‘Also, the new way allows you to easily delete the last 15 minutes of search history. For that the customer has to tap the button only once. This feature has just reached Google’s iOS app. However, this feature will soon be available in the Google app on Android phones as well ‘, Google has claimed.
To use this new feature, you need to open the Google app on your iOS device and tap on your profile icon. Here you can see the search history under the ‘Delete Last 15 Min’ button. Google has already introduced incognito support for iOS devices. By protecting privacy with this option, the internet search experience will be better.
With this new feature, the last 15 minutes of search history on iOS devices can be deleted with one click. If your iOS device still doesn’t have this option, update the Google App from the App Store. Also, Google has informed that from now on, additional verification will be required to log in to My Activity page. As a result, no one other than you can log in to your activity page.
