In self-reliant India, the local smartphone maker Lava took New Year’s Day on its own. Do you know why? Because this January 7, Thursday Lava launched four new smartphones, a new fitness band, special smartphone upgrades and customization plans.
The company’s new smartphones are the Lava Z1, Z2, Z4 and Z6. Each of these smartphones is in the budget category and the price starts from just Rs 5,499. Besides, the new fitness band that Lava has come up with is called BeFit and the price is only Rs 2,699.
All the details of Lava’s four new smartphones –
Lava Z2 has 2GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage options. Lover’s new model features a dual rear camera setup, with a 13MP primary sense camera and a 2MP secondary camera. There is an 8MP sensor on the front of the phone for selfies. The Lava Z2 model is priced at just Rs 6,999.
The next smartphone in this line-up is Lava Z4. With 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variants, this phone has a triple rear camera option. The primary camera of the Lava Z4 model is 13MP. It also has a 5MP and another 2MP sensor. This phone has a 16MP selfie shooter as the front facing camera. The gum of the Lava Z4 phone is only Rs 8,999.
The company has priced the new Lava Z6 at Rs 9,999. This phone also has three rear camera options, with a primary sensor of 13MP. It also has a 5MP and another 2MP secondary sensor.
Along with these three smartphones, the designed-in-India smartphone Lava Z1 has also been launched. The company claims that this phone is completely indigenous and designed by Indians. The Lava Z1 is priced at just Rs 5,499. This is the company’s first smartphone in this segment to have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and the phone is a Military Grade Certified device.
Lava’s new fitness band (BeFit) –
Lava has launched a new fitness band called BeFit. The band can show users activity tracking, temperature monitoring, heart rate monitoring, measuring SpO2 and notifications from phone calls to SMS and various social media apps.
Made-to-Order Plan –
Today Lava announced the ‘Made-to-order’ concept for customers. It allows customers to choose between 2GB, 3GB, 4GB or 6GB RAM and mix and match with either 32GB, 64GB and 128GB ROM.
You can also choose a combination of dual (13 + 2MP) or triple rear camera (13 + 5 + 2MP), and an 8MP or 16MP selfie camera. Not only that. Users can also choose the desired colour option. Customers can order ‘Made-to-Order’ devices from the Lava e-store.
Upgrade Plan –
Customers are also being offered upgrades for Lava’s Z series phones. Customers can upgrade their phone’s RAM and ROM as needed by visiting the Lover Service Centre. And to get this upgrade, customers have to make an appointment in advance at the nearest Lava Service Centre. Lava will charge customers a very small increment for this upgrade.
