BSNL 5G is coming on time even though the launch of 4G service is delayed

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL is expected to launch 4G services by March next year. Earlier it was claimed that the company will roll out 4G network by January 2023. But after a recent announcement, it seems the company has changed their mind. However, it is learned that the telecom operator will first make the 4G services available in metro cities and later the coverage will be available in other circles. Not only this, BSNL is said to be rolling out 5G services in August 2023.

BSNL may start rolling out 4G services in March 2023

An official of the ‘Department of Telecommunications’ or DoT said that BSNL is already installing a total of 1.12 lakh towers across the country. That means the company can launch 4G service in the first half of next year. However, every time the state-owned telecom operator has planned a 4G rollout, it has been forced to push back the launch timeline due to various issues. But now it seems that BSNL is determined to start 4G operations. In this regard, TCS, Tejas, CDOT companies are expected to be in charge of the telecom operator’s 4G service distribution.

According to a recent report, the Indian government has approved a Rs 1.64 lakh crore revival package for BSNL. Besides, DoT has reserved 5G spectrum for this government agency.

BSNL to launch 5G services by August 2023

Many may not show much interest in BSNL’s 4G network. Because the private sector has already started 5G distribution in several big cities of the country. As a result, it goes without saying that this government telecom operator is running at a very slow pace. But the news that we are about to share may cheer you up. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnab recently announced that BSNL will launch 5G services by August 2023. That is, the expansion of both 4G and 5G networks will be completed at the same time. Ashwini also claimed that 5G services will be made available in 80% of the country within the next 24 to 36 months. And this work will be implemented by government agencies.
