      Apple has been fined around RS 14 crore for not providing charger with iPhone 12

      We all know the uproar around the world when Apple announced last October that it would not provide charging adapters and EarPods with the retail boxes of all its new phones during the launch of the new iPhone 12 series. At the time, the move drew widespread criticism and ridicule from networked premium device makers, but later two more popular names in the smartphone market, Samsung and Xiaomi, followed Apple’s lead in launching their new premium smartphones. As a result, customers do not have the opportunity to complain about this. However, in the wake of this incident, about 6 months after the new iPhone series came on the market, Apple came under a lot of pressure! According to reports, this time Brazilian consumer protection company Procon-SP has fined Apple about 2 million dollars (about 14 crore) for not charging the iPhone 12 in the retail box;

      9to5 According to Google, last year the Brazilian company wanted to talk to Apple about the issues mentioned; But Apple did not respond. Even due to the jury’s final judgment, the Carpetino-based brand remained unresponsive when asked by Apple if they had removed the charger, whether it had cut the price of the iPhone 12 or how much the handset with the charger could have cost.

      However, in addition to the charger bundle issue, Procon-SP also pointed out some bugs related to iOS updates in the company’s premium smartphones, where some users complained about their update issues but Apple did not help them. As a result, large sums of money have been imposed on the company for all allegations of non-cooperation. However, The Verge noted that Apple is unlikely to be affected by the fines, as the company earned 114.4 billion in the first quarter of 2021.

      Incidentally, at the launch of the iPhone 12 series last year, Apple said it would not be providing chargers and earbuds with these new phones and new batches of older models. The company says the move will help prevent e-waste and other environmental concerns. Although Procon-SP noted that the company has not yet made any environmental gains from the move. Critics say the company made the decision to cut shipping costs.
