In addition to vintage products, Apple has another list called “Obsolete Products”. Products that have not been sold for more than 7 years are included in this list. Apple’s first “affordable” phone was the iPhone 5c. Apple’s mobile are made of metal body. But to lower the price, the iPhone 5c was made with a plastic body. The phone was also available in five colours – green, blue, yellow, coral and white. In terms of design and other technology, this set was the equivalent of the iPhone 5.
The operating system of iPhone 5c was iOS 7 but it can be upgraded to iOS 10.3.3. It also had a dual-core Apple A6 chipset. The internal storage of the phone was 32 GB. The iPhone 5-like set had an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera. The iPhone 5c also had a 4-inch LCD display. This phone was priced Rs 41,900 at launch.
Can you still use iPhone 5c in 2019?
Apple will no longer support the iPhone 5c as it is listed as a vintage product. But those who are still using this phone can get it repaired from the company’s service provider if they want. As long as useful parts of this phone are available, it can be repaired. However, if it goes on the list of obsolete products, no Apple service provider will be able to offer any of the phone’s hardware-related services.
