Violation of Aadhaar law will lead to severe punishment this time. The central government has mentioned this in a directive issued to the Unique Identification Authority of India or UIDAI. In this case, first of all, there is talk of prosecuting the violators of the law. If found guilty in the trial, the Special Adjudicating Officer appointed by UIDAI will announce the sentence against the accused. Thus, a maximum fine of Tk 1 crore can be imposed on the person or organization violating the law, according to the official notification. The notification was issued by the central government on Tuesday, November 2.
UIDAI will appoint an adjudicating officer against Aadhaar violators
Complaints can be lodged against any person or organization for non-compliance with the Aadhaar Act. In that case UIDAI will appoint an adjudicating officer to try the accused. If you want to be this officer appointed by UIDAI, you need a special rank. In other words, it is not possible for any person to hold this position. In this case, the employees below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India will be excluded first. In addition, UIDAI will not appoint any person without a minimum of 10 years of experience.
If any person or organization is accused of violating the Aadhaar Act, UIDAI may appoint its own officer and prosecute him. In that case the adjudicating officer will judge him. If convicted, the accused person or organization may be fined up to Tk 1 crore. But before that the accused has to show the reasons for the fine. There you will have the opportunity to present arguments in favor of the guilty.
Please be informed that the culprit has to deposit the fine in the UIDAI fund. Failure to do so will result in recovery of penalty from him / her as arrears of land revenue.
